How to make your newsletter more interesting

🗓️ Happy Saturday

The newsie is back in Canada, after 3 weeks in El Salvador we are back. This week is about how to make your newsletter a bit more interesting for your subscribers, who does not want that :)

And of course, we have some cool bookmarks, because what would the newsie be without them?

Ready?

Let’s go

AD ( I GOTTA EAT)

🛑 But first a quick message from our sponsor this week.

Successful newsletters like Morning Brew and Milk Road make most of their money from sponsorships.

But ad sales is not fun and super time-consuming, especially prospecting, email deliverability, and the dreaded outreach! 😬

So why don’t you outsource it with Ad Sales as a Service?

ASaaS does all the heavy lifting needed for outbound ad sales and sends you warm sales conversations.

Dan, the founder has sold $4m+ in newsletter ads and built ASaaS for personalised outreach at scale. No commissions, no ring-fencing, and a flat monthly retainer.

How to make your newsletter more interesting…

Making a newsletter interesting might sound hard to someone like you starting a newsletter.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Here are 5 ways you can make your newsletter a bit more interesting.

  1. Segmentation: This might be a bit technical but is fun if done right, where depending on what your subscriber clicks you could segment them to provide them with only content that is relevant to what they want to read about.

  1. Content Variety: Mix informative articles, how-to guides, interviews, case studies, opinion pieces, and curated resources.

  1. Behind-the-Scenes: Every newsletter does not have to have something “new” of whatever niche you are writing about, share some behind-the-scenes of what it takes to create an issue.

  1. Interactive: What I mean about this one is to have quizzes or challenges where people can reply with a challenge this will build a sense of community.

  2. Change it Up: Change it up, from time to time. Now I am not talking about writing about something different that has nothing to do with your niche, but maybe include a new section for your readers.

Like a curated section for interesting bookmarks of the week. 😉 Or maybe change the color of your logo.
